This position is ideal for a mature person with a passion for cooking and would like to settle down in a small, coastal town.
Duties will include the following: The Sous Chef, together with the Assistant Chef and Restaurant Manager, will be responsible for full management of the kitchen to include cooking, ordering of stock, wastage control, hygiene maintenance, portion and quality control, costing and to ensure that a good quality product is delivered to the patrons.
The candidate must be flexible and be able to manage kitchen staff well, to ensure a pleasant working environment.
He/She Should be able to handle large volumes of a la carte service.
The incumbent must be experienced with a proven, reliable work record ideally within Restaurants and Tourist Activities.
Must reside or relocate independently to Gansbaai.
